sulpture exhibition

On 4th of December，we went to Nanjing University for the famous artist Wu Weishan's sulpture exhibition. That was wonderful and make me think a lot.

Some of Wu Weishan's sulpture are traidition because he has made a lot of artworks about the famous people before. So he might be thought about these people at that times. Also ,some of them are contemporary.Because he may uses the modern skills and materials.

My favourite artwork is Lao Zi . It was made by 1991.The art work is big .It seemed to be oval the sahpe outside. It was made by bronze so it looked a little green. The main subject of this artwork is Lao Zi . A very famous people in the past but affect even now.He had a lot of knowledge and students. His ideas had been used for country and do things personality and so on. He has an old face and long beard . It seems that he is very clever and full of wisdom.

It is also very interesting and lot of details. Because it is designed of hollowing inside. The details like there are some old words in China long long time ago. It is an old idom that means some people has a lot of knowledge and the knowledge even in the stomach. It can make you think a lot if you can understand it , especially Chinese can find and understand more. Also, the artist wants to praise the facts of Lao Zi .He also wants to affirm Lao Zi's widely knowledge and kind ideas.He makes the sense that Chinese should be proud of thier old people ,old culture because Wu Weishan made it very carefully and creative.He had a good emotion to make such a kind of artwork.

I like the art work ,and I am still interested in Wu Weishan's artwork .He is a good artist I think . He would get more and more appreciation in the future!!!
