Club avtivities

GCA is a kind of school that has so many clubs. They make our after-school life colorful and full of happy.At beginning of this term . I join 5 clubs.They are table tennis club, girl basketball,music club, fun club and volunteer club. The most activities I took in term 1 is in Volunteer club.There was a main reason that I did not join so many other club’s activities.My cellphone has gone missing in Oct. The leader’s add and number are all in the old cellphone and I did not know there’s class and could not remember the name of the leaders.Except Kate ,one of the leader of volunteer club.Because there are 2 more classmates are in this club too. They reminded me to join the activities.
In Volunteer Club, we can choose four different kind of charity organization. The first one \is the home of dogs and cats. My family did not allow me to do this kind of “dangerous” work.Though I love the animals.The second one is help the people in theSchool for the deaf. The leader said that it is suitable for someone who is good at paiting and writing. I thought that I am weak of these things,maybe I am not suitable for this. The third one is help the people in the school for the blind.This one was ok but I seemed to like the last one better—To be a member of Chinese Charity Volunteer Organization.It is more official .And the activities will be more than others.So I choose it then I know the leader of this part:Kate.A little serious but easy-going.
She organized three kind of job this term that I take part in two of them.The first one is raise the money to charity,the second one is to teach the students in need.Not so many kinds of ,but for

many times.She is a good leader.We teach the students in need *(I wrote it in volunteer work ).And that make me feel happy to join the club activities.We can work with our classmates,do the things together, think together,practice the team work, realize how important for everyone to do for the charity work.We should put our limited
Efforts into charity work ,everyone has the duty to be the volunteer!

I will keep taking volunteer club’s activities.Also, find out the leaders of the other clubs and join the other kind of club activities. Make my time more and more substantial and funny next term!~

Physical Activity of the first term 10D

The first term's physical activities are colorful and wonderful.It covered football, basketball,table tennis, skating , rope skipping,running and biking......

My favourite item is basketball.I play it when I have time like holidays.The nearest basketball field of my home will take about 20min to go and return.I often play it with my uncle near by.We always go there early because many people want to play, especially boys .But there just 4 baskets. If you do not go there early,there would not have the place for you .But I still holding on to practice it. Maybe dribbling, passing in common ground. I own about for myself in my house ,so I can play it anytime anyplace I want.

The other activities all have the reasons to do .Like Running for running exam in P.E. class.Soccer for quiz in P.E. class either.This holiday ,I want to
practice hockey,but there is no selling place in Nanjing. What is a pity!

There are also some surprised activities I took in Tianjin.Such as,skating ,dangcing and billiards. Skating on Tianjin Bay,dancing in my friend's house,play billiards with my friend's brother in a shopping mall.That's so funny.

Biking ,Rope skipping and playing badminton are all very usual sports.We can do them at weekends. When my friends or cousins came to my house ,then I can play these with them.They have significant efficacy and they are easy to take .

Doing sports is important to keep you fit.They can also keep a good moods for me . I love it and I try to do more next term.

Volunteer Work

My volunteer work of this term is to teach the children from some poor school.They do not have some extra help with their study as the other children have.So the club organized us to help them.

Part 1 : How we did it?

I still remember the first day I started the volunteer work .The place of activity is not easy to find. I went to the wrong place and after I called Susan for about 4 times.I found it.The children there are all about 8 to 14.The similar ages as my two cousins.But there are big differences between them. The boy which tought by Susan,Sandy and me is the yougest of all these children. He is small shy to ask and answer questions.But soon ,we were Familiar with each other.We helped him to understand the new words the new articles and Idioms.Review and preview the subject he ask us to.

First of all,We helped him to went through the old text.We red the text for him ,then he red again,we correct his pronunciations.Then let he do some dictation of the words he need to know and write clearly.After review the text.We asked him some questions about the article and the words.He always answered them correctly.Then we went through some idoms in his book untill he can recitation it.After all of these review.We helped him to preview the texts he would learn next week.Then told him to ask some questions about his homework or the things we tought today.Always he did not has so many questions and he will messy that day’s notes and clean up the desk.He made me think a lot(see in part two).

Part 2 : The feelings of the volunteer work.

The children there have a spirit that the common students who have the good conditions in studying and living area do not have.They are so clever, Sensible and hard-working.For example,they have the better marks because they put more efforts;they save more money because they do not waste something like stationary…… I do not know how to ues words to discribe these Well-behaved children.But in my mind,they always want to be well.In china,there are so many poor students.They all have the thoughts that only the way to break the poor away is have high qualifications.So they study hard,and soon,they have the good qualities ,manners and study habits.I can say that I do not have these good habits as them.I can even say I admirate them.If I have the ability to help them a little,I will be proud too.

I am glad to do this kind of volunteer work and it made

me think a lot.They have gave me a lot of experience

and happy.I hope I can see these lovely children again.
