Volunteer Work this term

This term , I did more types of volunteer than before.That is good for me and make me feel that I can do for someone else! That is a good feeling ,truly.

First, I got an special volunteer work---teach international teacher Chinese. Do not think that is easy to do , every time after I fought him, I feel that Chinese is so difficult and even I have a moment that can not say Chinese clearly. Isn't that interesting. But our teacher is also a good student , he learn a lot in such short time.That makes me proud and happy.I did something back for the teacher , I can use my mother language to help people in need. Both of us think this volunteer work is meaningful and interesting. I am now keep doing this , I think I can help our teachers more comfortable to live in Nanjing, China. I hope them love the place by the language first and then do not want to leave anymore.

In Ms.Bartell's class, we went to Beijing Donglu elementry school to teach grade 5 students English. By learning and playing the uno cards , we all got closer though we are in different ages.I got two girls in my little lesson. One is very quiet and sensible , the other is more active and talkative but I still love all of them. We played and learned together for only an hour but we set up a good relationship. I still remember that Ms.Bartell told me that one of the girl ask to find me when Bartell lead 10C classmates there. That gave me a big surprise and let me miss them very much. I would like to do this kind of job and so many people think that I am suitable for children.I think that may be I am a cancer, so I can be easy-going with children. Not bad , I wanna to have this chance again.

For the fashion show , I help to set up the place and draw the letters, that's all not so difficult and the most important in this is that I can take part in organizing the fashion show stuff and enjoy it when I saw the show . Get my efforts in it is another feeling when you see it finish. I like it too.

Volunteer Work is important in our lives. I enjoy doing this and I can get infor. and experience from it either. I plan to do something more widely or other types of volunteer work next term and enjoy it then share it in the BLOG. See in next year.Come on!

The experience of watching fashion show in GCA

April 27th , The date of GCA most successful fashion show hold by leaders teachers and all grade 10s. That was a very exciting show not only because it organized well but also due by ourselves. Students made the clothes from design it untill make it out and show it on the runway. The design from our design group has been chosen to show on our GCA newspaper! I just want to say ?!!!! FABULOUS~!!!

The experience of acting in a performance

It is very exciting to act in a performance but also very nevours because there are so many people in front of you to see how good or bad you are acting.There was a chance from Sarah's mother's company for me to try this kind of things again .

We prepared the song "When you are gone" which is a nice but a little sad song from Avril Lavigne. She is a famous singer and we all love her very much. Before the show, we prepared a lot but still feel nevous and nevous . A lot of butterflies in my stomache. Finally , It is the date for the show and we were sent to the place for the party.Before the show started,It was funny to see three girls(Sarah, Willa and me) still hide in the washroom and practiced. It is a very unforgetable for us forever.

It is the time for the show ,we began to sing on the stage without accompaniment but still make me felt good . After the singing ,I found that I was so proud of myself , I have win myself again in front of people and stated to believe myself I can do this kind of thing better and better also more naturally . That will be my advantage doesn't it ! Hope there will have chances in the future!

The experience of going to the church

It is sacred to go to the Christ Church, though I went there more than once before. Study the scriptures , pray for people aroud you , tell Jesus that what you did wrong or something confuse you a lot . That make people calm and kind in everything. It is a kind of believing but It works to me so much. So I like it , believe it in a sincere heart.

When I remember to take photos but it is not a good time when got to the church on Mo Chou Road.The time is little bit over and there is noting on Monday. I took a ticket to go into the church on Saturday (the day that for the people to get together and do something like pray), and see so many people there . And it is very serious and sacred to the people who came here. People do the singing work , flashbacks , praying work also emblazonment and so on.

After talking to the believers I know that people can go to churches from Tuesday to Sunday in China and the weekends are the biggest part that most believers would come and do something.Tuesday afternoon is the time for reading scriptures and get knowledge of lives from themselves or from pastors. Wedunesday , Thursday also Friday have similar staff that I can nor discribe it in English. Saturday and Sunday for getting together. It is full of things to do if you are believer of Christianity. And the things are all useful and meaning for everyday life. I think , after I know more about this things , I can go there more often in the future in right time.

At last , I want to share some idioms in scriptures."As you sow, so shall you reap.":Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit. ; " Cast not the first stone.": before blame others , think ourselves' first.

The Exhibition in Art Gallery

Walk passed the Art Gallery . I found something interesting. The student in the big poster outside was wore NFLS's uniform. That attracted me to go in and find out why. The student from NFLS called Cheng Mao put his calligraphy into this exhibition.It amazing to see such a young girl to hold such a big brush to write such beautiful calligraphy. At the beginning of the visit , we found our priceple MR. Dong's preface of this exhibition. In his preface, we had know a little about Cheng Mao .

She was so lucky to get good education from her parents when she was young .She also has three very famous people as her teacher to tought her alot. She study in this area very happily and works very hard. She held exhibition in Nanjing Art Gallery for three times .I found the meaning of her name in Chinese Dictionary.Mao meaning grant and prize. Her success even start from very beginning just like her name !

It is too young for a girl to get such a surprised result. I admire her very much. She can get better work in the furture without doubt!

The experience of Western Restaurant

The second time to have dinner in a Western Restaurant is still exciting. I chose the nearest one of my father company .I took lunch or supper there for many times before . And that is ---Henry's Home. There was a one near our school ,but I do not know why it gone. But I find another one with my father in Hua Qiao Road . It still not very big as in my mind , but it still have a very heavy Western feeling. Quiet , full of elegant music, also some forigners.

From the Internet, I found that Henry's Home is a type of American reataurant. It is also special for Nanjing. It is the founder of Nanjing's Western Foods.Henry's home has three restaurants in Nanjing . But not so many in China. Henry's Home uses its decious to get eastern and western people together. They even uses 13 years to research Nanjing people's hobby to exploit the special taste for Nanjing. That is why Nanjing People like Henry's Home always along.

Peaches are always my favourite ,so fruit salad must be needed in every time. Hawaii pizza ,special chicken wings are also included in the list . I do not remember the cost very clearly but I really enjoyed the time there. Not difficult to take it , not very expensive to take it. How about next time with somebody else?

Experence in Western restaurant （part one）

It is not the first time I go to the Western Reataurant, but it is the first time to go with friends. We chose Italy Restaurant to go .The name of the restaurant is"Jack Place".It is near Jin Ying Internation Shopping Centre.
We went there at 7 o'clock. Then we start the dinner. It is strange for me to adapt these kind of dense food , and in fact , Italy food are all like this. Italian always make their food so exquisite. In my mind , mushrooms
And butter are the representation of the restaurant. Even the whole restaurant full of these kind of smell. How strange for me . Especially I do not like eating mushrooms very much.

I chose a vegetable Salad for the beginning ,then I tried the butter mushroom soup.I am sorry to say that I was sick a lot with it. I even had not eat them all . I wasted the food !But I finished eating noodles because all kinds of things about noodles are my Preferences.
Finally ,The supper cost me about 150RMB.Though I do notwant to try them anymore but I have good time with my 20 friends together.
